American actor Mel Ferrer, born Melchor Gastón Ferrer in Elberon, New Jersey, died at 90 in Santa Barbara. Fluent in French, he appeared in French films including "Elena et les Hommes" (1955), "Les Mains d'Orlac" (1961), "Le Diable et les Dix Commandements" (1962, sketch 2), and "Mille milliards de dollars" (1981). Remembered for his Hollywood and French cinema work.
