Happy #Thursday, y'all.
Another reason why I love #hostas so much is the 3 seasons of interest.

You get new leaves in the #spring that may sometimes morph from one colour to the other.

You get #flowers in the #summer.

You get amazing #autumn colour.

This is my own unregistered seedling, which I have named Kathleen after my mother.

Ruffled blue leaves in spring are followed by golden yellow leaves in October.

It's a seedling from Neptune but far easier to grow and nicer, in my opinion.

One of my favourite #hostas this season has been hosta Kempen Waving Shadow.

It takes about 3 years to show its true character, but it is definitely worth the wait.

Long, undulating, spear shaped leaves emerge in spring. The colour is a pleasing lime green/gold.

Stems are a frosted blueberry colour.

Leaves turn to an emerald green from late summer onwards.

Another rare cultivar from our collection.

Widely available in Europe. Here - not at all.

Got ours from Ireland.

Go figure!

Another good water 💦 for the plant out the front and back 😊 I really need to get a grip of the weeds in the pots and on the lawn,but it was just so murderously hot today (around 31°C) with no breeze I'll have to try and do it all in the cool of the evening's 🌺
