I am going to host a FreeBSD VM on my MacBook Pro and then install a local AI system onto the VM.

Is there any wisdom out there which I could read *before* journeying down this rabbit hole?

This is for work and the laptop is also work so there can be some YOLO but not all the YOLO. Happy to give the AI user some leeway but not sudo-type stuff (obvs).

This child can solve a rubies cube in 2 to three mi notes. "It is easy! It is just an algorithm!" Last night when I was helping with some math identities for calculus. "This is hard!"

Me: It is just an algorithm, like your cube. We are moving the symbols around in a specific way.

Child: but it is different. The rubic's cube is fun!

I think the child has capability. The challenge here is motivation.

Someone's child failed a calculus test and asked me to help her study. I found thst for her, if we do the equations competitively she enjoys it.

I am having to learn the rules of her math along the way. For me, the square root of -1 is I. For her, it is undefined.

Signing homework

I’ve reached the point when it’s getting hard to keep up and help my oldest daughter with her homework.

Chinese lessons may be the perfect example of that. Not sure my signature on a Chinese writing test means much when I don’t understand what I’m signing. 😅
