One of the two new-to-me footpaths I followed today was more like stairs down the side of the valley. The bits with steps were lovely though I didn’t quite trust the stepping stone steps not to shift as I went down. They all stayed in place though. It was some of the bits without steps that got a bit treacherous!
Went for a walk up a nearby hill that I haven’t been up for years this afternoon. I stopped to snap a picture in a roadside mirror. And had a weird flashback to July 2004.
I took a picture in the same mirror (or one at the same location at least) when I went for a walk to settle my head after a positive pregnancy test that turned into the now-teen.
The sky is bluer now, and the road behind me has been paved. Literally & metaphorically I think.
