Over 400 rock relics up for auction: Slash’s guitar and John Lennon’s latest autograph.

London is preparing to host one of the richest and most spectacular music auctions of recent years: over 400 items belonging to rock and pop icons will be sold on April 30th by auction house Propstore. Including instruments, posters, costumes and personal items, the event brings together relics linked to the Beatles, Queen, Guns N’ Roses, George Michael, Jimi Hendrix, as well as contemporary stars like Ed Sheeran and Little Mix. According to expert Mark Hochman, the total estimated value exceeds €1.7 million.

The Golden Microphone of Freddie Mercury
Among the most anticipated items is the gold-plated microphone made for Freddie Mercury, described by Hochman as “the most viewed item at our auctions since the 1980s.” The keepsake, from the historic Queen collection, is valued between €35,000 and €70,000.

Slash’s Guitar: The Most Valuable Lot
However, the star of the auction is Slash’s Gibson Les Paul ’59 Custom Shop guitar, used by the Guns N’ Roses guitarist and already at the center of numerous telephone bids. The pre-sale estimate ranges from €170,000 to €340,000, making it the most expensive lot in the entire catalog.

John Lennon’s Last Signature
Another item of enormous historical value is the large promotional poster of “Double Fantasy”, signed by John Lennon and Yoko Ono the morning of December 8th, 1980, just hours before the musician’s assassination. Considered the last item signed by Lennon, it is valued between €70,000 and €140,000.

George Michael’s Jacket and Other Iconic Relics
The auction also includes George Michael’s jacket, authenticated by Propstore’s research team, along with numerous other items that offer collectors a tangible connection with artists and performances that have marked the history of music.

UPDATE | The Hind Rajab Foundation has intensified its legal action against Israeli comedian Guy Hochman by filing an urgent request for prosecution in the US. The filing is supported by an extensive evidentiary dossier alleging war crimes and direct incitement to genocide linked to Israel’s actions in Gaza. The move follows Hochman’s detention and prolonged interrogation in Canada at Toronto Pearson International Airport after authorities received the complaint and investigative materials. He was reportedly released only after intervention by the Israeli embassy. The request was submitted to the US Department of Justice ahead of Hochman’s planned appearance in New York City later today. The dossier details alleged violations of international humanitarian law and US federal statutes, including the War Crimes Act and the Genocide Statute, and includes evidence such as footage showing Hochman planting explosives at a mosque in Gaza.

Activist with neo-Nazi ties fronts Marco Rubio-linked anti-immigration effort

The rightwing activist #Nate #Hochman
-- who was fired last yearby the Florida governor, Ron DeSantis, for employing #neo-#Nazi imagery in a campaign video
--is now the face of a #Marco #Rubio-linked thinktank’s efforts to spread anti-immigrant panic from Ohio to Pennsylvania.

Videos featuring Hochman recorded in #Charleroi, Pennsylvania, have been boosted on X by a range of #rightwing figures including the platform’s owner, the tech billionaire Elon #Musk.

In recent days Hochman, 26, has recorded several videos on location in Charleroi for "America 2100", a rightwing group where he is an adviser, according to his biographies on X and at websites where he has published articles.

Hochman is also a staff writer and podcaster at the rightwing website the "American Spectator", where his recent output has mostly consisted of anti-immigrant messaging.

Like Springfield in Ohio, Charleroi has attracted a community of Haitian migrants.

The borough manager, Jim Manning, told CBS News on Wednesday that immigrants including ✅ Haitians “have been a benefit to the town”.

He added: “They come here. They buy property. They open businesses. They work here. They pay taxes. So for us, at the end of the day, it has been a benefit.”

Hochman has so far only recorded interviews with older white residents of the town, who have variously complained that the newcomers do not speak English and that migrants have taken “American jobs”.

One interviewee appears to concede that the Haitians are in Charleroi legally but dismisses the importance of that fact.

“The perception is that it’s not legal,” the interviewee says at one point. “Now, you get a lot of people saying they’re illegals and everyone wants to fight about that term, but it doesn’t really matter.”
