QVC Group files for Chapter 11 as TV shopping struggles to keep up with TikTok

The owner of home shopping network pioneer QVC has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The filing by parent company QVC Group, which also owns HSN, formerly the Home Shopping Network, arrives as long-running TV shopping networks struggle to adapt to the rapid shift by consumers now tuning in to livestreams on TikTok, or online marketplaces like Shein. QVC Group, which filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, said that its international operations are not included in the process. It has more than $1 billion in cash on hand and said that it has ample liquidity to meet its business obligations.

@jtonline I like the way you think. I myself use "hoard" because they are #hoarders. Think about it. If they amassed the same amounts of anything else in the world, that's what each of them would be. Somehow we see other hoarders as mentally ill but don't see them that way.

a bit less than 2 weeks left. The roommate (let's call them a squatter) hasn't been in the house for 2 weeks. But has stopped by every day to feed the stray cats.

I entered their room. They left a fan on, and dad got an over-due notice on his electricity. I refuse to pay it for him, but I will help minimize his expenses.

The room reminded me of "hoarders."
