Wondering if there is interesting work on the #philosophy of #statistics, #probability etc I should read. I know Hacking et al. But interested in work from the #hermeneutic, #poststructuralist etc traditions of critical #theory. The few mentions by #Gadamer etc don't go beyond received conceptions.

@timamor Some #hermeneutic context: The "eye of a needle" was traditionally thought of as a very narrow unguarded city gate, which a camel had to be unloaded first before it could get through. Cyril of Alexandria (fragment 219) also suggested the typo 'camel' κάμηλος could have really meant anchor rope κάμιλος. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_a_needle
