Check on your loved ones and your neighbours the coming weeks. These are anomaly temperatures for the coming week over Europe. Anomalies of more than 15 degrees above the 1991-2020 climat average are predicted. More than 10C above average will span half the continent. This will be historic and brutal, and this is not the worst one of the coming decades.

Federal officials say three hikers have died from apparent heat-related illnesses in the Grand Canyon. The deaths occurred on two different days in the past week. A 72-year-old man died June 12 on the South Kaibab Trail. Four days later, a 67-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman died on the North Kaibab Trail. Despite rapid response and aerial support, all three were found dead by the time first responders arrived. Park officials have noted an increase in heat-related illnesses recently and urge hikers to avoid trails between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Investigations are ongoing.
