Health woman, from April 22nd to 29th, free visits in 250 hospitals.

AGI - For the eleventh National Women's Health Day, from April 22nd to 29th, the (H) Open Week on women’s health returns, promoted by the Onda ETS Foundation. For one week, over 250 hospitals in the Pink Shield network will offer free visits, instrumental examinations, telephone consultations, remote consultations, and informational events to women. Services are now available for consultation on the website www.bollinirosa.it, through a search engine indexed by region, province, and specialist area.

The Onda ETS Foundation, the National Observatory on Women’s and Gender Health, has been awarding the Pink Shield to hospitals guaranteeing services dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of major female pathologies since 2007. Today, the network consists of 370 hospitals distributed throughout the national territory. The (H) Open Week on women’s health represents the most concrete expression of this network.

Growth and Importance of Prevention

In recent years, the initiative has registered increasing participation: from 133 participating hospitals in 2020 to 265 in 2025. A trend that testifies to the increasing attention of healthcare facilities towards a gender-based approach and towards prevention as a strategic lever for public health.

Impact and Multidisciplinary Offer

The impact of the (H) Open Week is also measured by the number of services provided. In 2020, despite the pandemic emergency, over 2,200 free services were offered, of which 1,639 visits and consultations (71%) and 439 instrumental examinations (19%). In 2025, the number of services exceeded 13,300, including visits, instrumental examinations, telephone consultations, and awareness-raising activities. A wide and multidisciplinary offer involving numerous specialist areas, including cardiology, gynecology and obstetrics, endocrinology, neurology, gynecological and medical oncology, breast screening, rheumatology, psychiatry, nutrition, and pathways for violence against women.

A Commitment to Prevention and Gender Medicine

With the (H) Open Week on women’s health, the Onda ETS Foundation renews a commitment that over the years has involved hundreds of hospitals and guaranteed thousands of free services, contributing concretely to spreading a culture of prevention and gender medicine as a right for all.
