For #WildlifeWednesday and #WhiskersWednesday, here's a memory from 2010 when we visited the #Seal Centre #Friedrichskoog. This sanctuary rescues and raises abandoned seal pups and provides a home for a few adult seals that cannot be released back into the North Sea. It rehabilitates both grey seals and harbour seals, the two seal species native to Germany. 🦭

A selkie for #MerMay (the mermaid 🧜‍♀️ celebration month)!

This is a hard-carved and printed lino block print of a selkie shedding her skin, seated on rocks, surrounded by harbour seals. Each print is made on lovely Japanese washi paper, cream-coloured paper with bark inclusions, 9.25” x 12.5”.
