This factory closed down over 40 years ago. Once it produced top-quality brooms and brushes, out of this workshop on Broom Street (yes, that did also make me chuckle!)

Sadly it was demolished a few years ago.

The remains of Falcon Works, located in Hanley (Stoke-on-Trent, England). Demolition work started on this Grade II Listed building earlier this year, but the council halted work while investigations were done into concerns about if the historic kiln had been damaged.

I managed to take ten minutes away from my desk tonight to sit outside and just be. The #moon was bright and the #sky was a gradient of blues. It was still warm at 2225hrs when I sat in the yard of the station at #Hanley and just breathed for a little while before taking this photo, which is unedited other than a crop.

It was my reason to smile today.

I’m on leave this week, but I spent the day #today delivering some “awareness sessions” (not allowed to call it #training, don’t ask) at both #Hanley and #HQ. They went well, and I’ve been wanting to do the HQ ones for two years now. Today was the 1st of 5 dates I have booked in. It was well received, the group were engaged, and feedback was good. I’m happy with that, so it counts as #Day3 of my #100HappyDays / #365HappyDays challenge.
