Two of the major forces that have led to Guy Fawkes Night being smeared out into #GuyFawkesFortnight are (a) Diwali, and (b) the desire to have family friendly celebrations, and the accommodation to the working week, that leads to people scheduling things for the nearest weekend rather than on the exact day itself.
Looking at all of these events, it seems to me that (b) is also making #MayDay become 1st of May Week. #CoventryCharterhouse has celebrated as late as the 6th in years past, according to what I can find.
Next Monday is, of course, a Bank Holiday.

While waiting to collect Sacha from the hospital I called in to watch a bit of top level Petanque at Western Park in #Leicester .
Petanque England are selecting the English men's squad for the World Cup in Thailand and the English Ladies squad for the European cup in Greece at these games.
