Needless to say that the campaign of #TerryGou saw a telltale start when former KMT health minister #YaungChihLiang made some belittling remarks regarding #domesticviolence while fantasizing about beating up president #TsaiIngWen.
Absolutely no class in these remarks, this is the same brand of #toxicmasculinity that failed KMT candidate #HanKuoYu had plenty of as well. Deep blue and reactionary stuff that won't lead to any progress.

In other #Taiwan-related news, the #Han-army within the #KMT can't get enough of that Korean fish aka Kuo-yu.
Running for presidency with old-school macho #HanKuoYu is the safest way to defeat for the KMT. Han is deep in #China's pockets and intransparent about it.
If the KMT wants to win the #election for presidency, it should go for New Taipei's mayor #HouYouyi instead - he has way more appeal to non-deepblue voters. And then there's HonHai's #TerryGou as well...

The shooter in California was a hardcore supporter of failed #KMT presidential candidate and recalled mayor of Kaohsiung, #HanKuoYu. Han had plenty of shady connections to #China, and he's part of the KMT's deep-blue faction that sees unification not only as a political goal, but as fulfilling the destiny of Chinese people.
Needless to say that this position does not win elections in #Taiwan...

In recent surveys, the percentage of people in #Taiwan supporting a "unification" with #China has dropped below 10%.
Seeing #Beijing trample on the #civicrights of the people in #HongKong certainly has been a factor in this.
Any politician entering an election with a pro-Beijing platform has no chance of winning a seat at this point. #JawShawKong is a non-seller and a repeat of the disaster that became known as Korean Fish aka #HanKuoYu. More of the same old school #KMT crap.

Seriously: If the #KMT wants to become an irrelevant fringe party and one of the little cogs in #Beijing's #UnitedFront efforts against #Taiwan, it should go into the next presidential #elections with #JawShawKong as its candidate. Seriously:
Less than 10% of the populace in #Taiwan identifies as Chinese rather than as Taiwanese. The fraction of #mainlanders who only came to Taiwan from 1945 to 1949 is shrinking due to age.
As election data from January 2020 show the #KMT has almost no support in the under25 age group - so this party's disconnect is only getting worse.
Running with #JawShawKong as candidate in the presidential elections in 2024 will be a failure even worse than running with #HanKuoyu.
