Koreshan Unity Collection

Contains letters of the Koreshan Unity, other documents. Koreshan Unity (1870-1910) led by Cyrus Teed (1839-1908) was a religious cult whose members generally believed that a life of celibacy led to immortality and that the Earth was hollow and concave. They formed a commune in Florida, which, at its peak, housed some 250 members. The commune contained a printing house, Guiding Star, to publish the Flaming Sword.
