I cooked our second of this month's three #Gousto meal kits.
Sicilian Meatballs with cheesy potatoes.
Again, very filling. Excellent flavour. Cooking was a bit of a challenge (for me).
I'm deducting one point because I hate touching raw meat🤮, so it gets 9/10 from me.

I've cooked and eaten the #gousto Basa à la Menuèire. The fish was fried in a simple coating with a lemon, parsley & caper sauce; there was a potato & spinach mash to accompany it.

It was easy to prepare, and very filling.

While I was cooking it, I was thinking it would be dreadful - the mash looked unappealing.
But, it was actually pretty good, not outstanding, but good.
I'm giving it 6/10 and Sacha says 7.5/10

I've cooked my final #Gousto meal for this month.
A Mongolian - style lamb stir fry with garlic rice.
I'd give it a generous 7/10 - slightly confused instructions, plus, it was more cooking than I'm comfortable with. I'm not a great fan of lamb in general though.
But, it was tasty and very filling.

Like @Erased_Citizen I woke up confused about what day it is, or might be. My computer thingy says it's definitely Saturday. The computer never lies (or so they used to say).

My tiny brain is struggling with a bit of normal functioning at the moment, particularly remembering things that have happened recently. I'm going to try writing stuff down for a bit.

Yesterday's gardening left me with seriously painful arthritic thumb joints that aren't completely clear this morning. That's old age!

Our monthly #Gousto recipe box came yesterday. I cooked a really good Hunter's Chicken with sweet potato mash. It had spring greens with it - something we'd not normally eat - they're ok but I took them out too soon and they weren't as hot as intended.

Today I'm hoping to get to the Petanque club, but the weather forecast isn't great, and I've heard a suggestion that there's another competition on at our club but I can't find anything online.

Far too much faffing about for me.
It went down ok, and there was plenty of it.
Apart from the packaging the only other waste was some of the kale that I couldn't get in the air fryer.
I'd give this one 5/10

I've cooked and eaten a splendid chicken risotto meal kit from Friday's Gousto delivery.

More 'cooking' than I'm used to but the instructions were clear and there was no waste other than the packaging.

It took a bit longer to prepare & cook than the instructions suggested.

It's been well received by Sacha, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, and quite enjoyed making it.

Inspired by our daughter giving us her unwanted Grubby meal kits, I ordered a couple of Gousto meal kits for ourselves.

They've just been delivered.

The delivery by DPD was bang on schedule, the box was undamaged. The contents were in great condition with the cold pack still frozen solid. The ingredients seem to be good quality.

I chose two meals - a chicken risotto, and a meatball meal with mash & onion gravy.
The recipes look straightforward, if not exactly child's play.

These weren't cheap at £7 per person before the Introductory discount - but I think it's a price we might be willing to pay for the variety of meals we'll get and for meals that I can prepare (as opposed to my wife who's increasingly finding meal prep a major thing with her disabilities).

We'll see how they turn out.
