@fanprompt - "oh"
Goose sulks. Everyone keeps going "oh no, the duck is back, he's going to tip over my cart," "oh no, the duck is going to flap his wings and send a gust of wind to knock over my kite stand..."
Of course, it's annoying to be called a duck, but it feels like there's something else wrong with what they're saying. Not the chaos, of course. Goose delights in causing trouble.
"What's wrong?" Gustopher, Goose's boyfriend, asks, waddling into the room.
Goose is happy to see him. "I'm just so tired of people... Do you know anyone who gets bothered by their gender?"
"Hmm," Gustopher says. "Not quite, but you know that website I help run? There are a ton of people there who are bothered by the gender people *think* they are. One of them told me they don't like-"
"What did you say?" Goose interrupts, perking up. If it's what it sounded like...
"They don't like the usual binary pronouns," Gustopher explains. "They prefer they/them."
/Oh./
Goose flaps /their/ wings happily. What a great way to cause chaos!
