Als ich meine jüngste #Livestream-Tat auf Mudderns großem #AndroidTV begutachten wollte, musste ich feststellen, dass das ohne #GoogleAccount nicht mehr geht. Diese „Funktion” wurde per automatischem Update nachgerüstet, früher ging das.

#Enshittification, die Einschläge kommen näher.

„Kann man anschauen ohne Account” war für mich als #Livestreaming-Dienstleister einst ein Argument für #YouTube, neben „kann jede Oma bedienen” und leider auch, für klamme Kommunen: „Koscht nix.”

Mh. Sieht so aus, als müsste ich langsam nach soliden Alternativen für die kommerzielle Nutzung Ausschau halten.

Wer den Livestream der Gemeinderatssitzung auf dem TV anschauen will, hat nun Google-Zwang. Das ist nicht im Sinne der Demokratie.

Huh, turns out that Google users who have opted into the Advanced Protection Program can't use their new "Recovery Contact" feature.

I wish they could have made an exception to allow adding someone who is also under the APP and is also in the same family group. But I know it's a trade-off.

I also assume that the reason you can't be a recovery contact for a child's account is that there's some other mechanism if you are their adult ... but I don't know what that is.
