After several hours of witchcraft with nostr, eventually stuck on an incomprehensible error, when trying to authorize in the mastodon client via ditto.pub and gleasonator.dev, ended up with an error, and it's not clear what to do about it =(

Yep. This has worked for the right before with #NAS, #Poast, #Gleasonator and #Spinster. And on the left I believe #Kolektiva experienced similar success.

Let me guess. The people here which give so much about 'freedom', will start their cancel culture blocking instances stuff again. Because of the Gleasonator drama.

There are 'bad eggs' on each instance. Blocking stuff out often creates more problems than it solves, but it can be useful for things like spam.

I don't think decentralised social media will be big among regular people any day (so not just nerds). It promotes cancel-culture even more than normal social media. Social media is flawed by design. Social networking (chatting) is better.
