Hey moderators of Mastodon... is there a way to import a list of problem users to ban them as a group at the instance lvl? We ask because we see a few very prolific, very obnoxious serial block evaders come up on the reg. It would be great to create a shareable list to allow mods to ban them with a click.

Noticed a large amount of traffic started coming from Meta/Facebook AI bots crawling public posts, and thus filling our instance storage with 100's of GBs of cached media within 24 hours, much faster than our usual cleanup job would catch.

Suggest blocking the "meta-externalagent" user agent from your web server, and the following IP ranges:

57.141.6.0/24
2a03:2880:f806::/48

The Speakeasy has defederated with dps910(dot)lol as it appears to host a subdomain used by serial spammer and fedi harasser Dav1d to continue his pigtail pulling, "notice me senpai" nonsense.

To those who say that he is now trying to change, we can see very clearly that he has not. He continues to mock the LGBTQ+ community with his trash cosplay, he continues to mass create accounts, and most egregiously, he continues to be embarrassingly unfunny.

For those with the spoons, he tends to use Porkbun as a registrar. Maybe contact them to like, convince them to stop enabling harassment.
