A BIT OF A LOOK BACK...

About 10years ago, #geoladies meetup convened by tito @maningsambale showed an average 1 woman mapper/participant in #osmph events and challenged the #openstreetmap community to change the ratio: https://www.slideshare.net/esambale/geoladies-20140609

Last Saturday, we changed the ratio! 12 women/LGBTQI++ participated (50:50 ratio)❤️‍🔥

Mappy to witness the growth and diversity of #OpenStreetMap 🇵🇭 ! Thank you for the inspiration ❤️‍🔥

The contributors from the #MapaBeks and #GeoLadies' events today added new features that made #OpenStreetMap more awesome: #HIV testing facilities, and health counselling centers, and also public #schools that are important in many usecases.

The local community's #OSMphizza grant program is proud to support these events. Tell us about your future #OpenStreetMap mapping events, and your #OSMphizza or #OSMphancit could be on us! 🍕🍝

Attached: 4 images We had an awesome day today at #colab, with the back-to-back sessions by the #MapaBeks and the #GeoLadies During the morning, they were mapping #hiv testing and counseling facilities. In the afternoon, they talked about future projects, with several people doing #LightningTalks about #specialEd #schools heritage mapping , and new mapping tools like #MapContrib and MapRoulette It was a great day for #MapaTime with new and old mappers. Thanks #OSMph for the #OSMphizza

There are many ways to contribute to #OpenStreetMap, and this group of young #GeoLadies are obviously having fun, while they're at it.
