Happy long weekend to those who get one!

No #GameDevFridays for me this week because we're actually going outside into the daylight instead.

But I did find time this morning to watch some *other* people do gamedev on YouTube, and eat some crisps. So that's kind of been productive in its own way.

Being self-employed, I have the worst boss ever. She's always giving me way more work than is physically possible in the time allowed, and coming up with ever-stupider ideas of new stuff I should also somehow be finding time to work on.

But today, for once, she's allowed me a day off! Well, mostly off, but I'll take it.

Spending it trying to add a new minigame to my atrocious #ToucanDoIt #GameJam submission, 'cos they extended the deadline so why not.

Pretty much gave up on the ongoing refactor for the last couple nights because it's been a busy life week and I found myself just staring at the editor without comprehension, unable to actually think in a straight line.

So, a couple nights break and I'm back up to what passes for full brainpower! Fired up Godot to be greeted with this...I guess the me of a few nights ago just gave up, like, halfway through changing something?

At least the actual tiles and buildings and bridges are. And that's quite enough brain work for now πŸ˜…

I may still be on death's door, but at least it's slightly less than yesterday.

Actually able to do a little bit for #GameDevFridays today, which was nice!

Of course I really do mean "a little bit". See that new tile indicator down in the bottom left? It's now a progress bar that fills up as you get closer to unlocking a new tile.

That's it. That was my day πŸ˜…
