Humphry Davy (1778-1829) was an English #Chemist that lived during #Romantic age in Europe.
French Chemist #Lavoisier already knew that #Heat was capable of producing "chemical" changes in a substance. Light too but Davy was able to induce changes with electric currents thru voltaic pile: #Galvanism
He isolated #Alkali metals as #Sodium and #Potassium -1807-
and other metals as# Barium,#Calcium,#Strontium and and #Magnesium -1808-
