Every year, a birding competition is held in this hill station in #Malaysia called Fraser's Hill. This year's winning team for the advanced category spotted 73 species in 24 hours.

A very pretty snake, the Blue Bronzeback (Dendrelaphis cyanochloris) spotted during the trip to Fraser’s Hill, Malaysia, on 19 Nov 2018.

Our son spotted it moving on a small roadside tree as we were walking past. It stared back at us as we stared at it.

Wonderful encounter.

Saw the Black-throated Sunbird (Aethopyga saturata) several times during our stay at Fraser’s Hill, Malaysia. But they don’t make it easy to get shots, constantly moving about under the shade of branches while calling and feeding.

At least this fellow was willing to stay in one place for long enough to get some shots. Taken on 18 Nov 2018.
