With a house of about 100 m², we’ve designed our home to breathe with the landscape.
Why stay inside when the world outside is so inviting?
We’ve integrated six different exits that lead to unique "outdoor rooms," each with its own purpose and mood:
The Flower Meadow: Right off the kitchen, featuring a "book bench" for soaking up the afternoon sun with a good read.
The Celebration Square: Accessed from both the living room and the master bedroom—perfect for late summer nights around the fire pit.
The Forest Peace: Stepping out from the guest room into the quiet woods, where we’re planning an outdoor cinema under the stars
The Winter Garden & Pergola: Our main entrance and large sliding doors open up to a south-facing sanctuary that bridges the gap between seasons.
In Norway, we have a saying: "Why sit inside when all hope is out?" (A little pun intended!). For us, it’s about making nature an extension of our living space.

Forest Home cemetery is especially beautiful in the fall and in the spring. I love the old trees and the artistic grave stones too! #foresthome #cemetery #fallcolor #trees
