After feeding us practically all summer, our beans will now feed us over the winter. (With some to save for planting next year.)

19 more pints of tomato sauce from our homegrown tomatoes. That's in addition to the 28 quarts we've already canned. (Some left over from last year).
This year we grew an heirloom variety called black krim that made the most delicious sauce I've ever tasted.
Yesterday we harvested & froze 10 lbs of bok choi. That's on top of all the bok choi we've been eating for the past few weeks.
Bok Choi freezes really well & doesn't need to be blanched first.
I left some of each plant to regrow & if it doesn't stay too hot, we may get another harvest.
Going old school.
5 seconds of the dancing 10 lb weight on my pressure canner.
Making tomato sauce. I know it can be waterbath canned, but using the pressure canner is faster & uses less water.
Spent a satisfying day playing in the dirt. Planted 2 varieties of #potatoes (3 more to go tomorrow) and worked with my spouse to clear more of the bramble from the terraced garden area. Then we planted 3 #blueberry bushes.
Spawn the eldest called & we had a lovely conversation. Spawn the youngest messaged me love & hugs.
Spouse & I will cook dinner together & spend a quiet evening w/the dogs in a cuddle pile on the sofa.
1. Spouse helped me dig out a HUGE rock where I needed to plant a nectarine tree (yay for tractors!)
2. My little orchard now has 4 apple trees, a cherry tree, an aronia bush, a fig tree and a nectarine tree!
3. I also planted 25 bare root strawberry plants today.
