No sign of the pumpkins or melons yet, but the potatoes are doing fine. Very different sprouting rates though, some are this big already while others just barely came out. Bit grassy as this was an overgrown goat pasture until this spring.
The beetroots are also starting to show up, having taken their time.
No sign of carrots, not a one. Perhaps another dodgy seed pack. Had quite a few of those.
The cabbage seedlings got flattened by the heavy rain, but hopefully they're still alive.
Spent some time at the #CommunityGarden today. Planted some #BlackBeans and #Potatoes, and pulled up some weeds (the flowers should be popping up after all that rain). Had a cool conversation with my neighbor who is a selectboard member and who helped get the garden going again, and told him what a great job he is doing. I mean, #composters, #rainbarrels, making the #CommunityCenter an #EmergencyShelter, supporting #DatacenterMoratoriums and #SmartGrowth. What more could one ask for in a town rep!

After 19 days the first potato sprouts are starting to emerge from the soil. Great timing, as we likely had our last frost temperatures last night.
#IKEA, at least in the U.K., has had plantballs for years. And has always had potato, in both the food shop and the restaurant.
There are big stores here where, if locked in for a week, one would starve. B&Q comes to mind. IKEA is not one of them. Every IKEA has a full blown cafeteria/restaurant, in addition to a frozen food Swedish shop and sometimes an additional fast food area.
This is not unique for big shops, Dunelm and M&S likewise have in-store cafés. But it is unusual here for a store that notionally sells furniture. One would starve if locked into Dreams for a week. (-:
