Another cool find from today’s #christmas shopping excursion.
This is still sealed in its original envelope, & since it’s a 4” flexi-disc, I don’t think I’m going to open it. I think I’d rather just put it in a small frame and hang it as art in the home studio, but this was too damn cool to pass up for only six bucks.

teledyn 𓂀I first encountered this piece from the #flexidisc insert in #SourceMagazine, the journal of #experimentalmusic - as one who did 'multitrack' using two tape machines and bouncing tracks, I was well aware of the problem, but loved how Lucier took it to the edge and beyond.
Of course it's not just his room. Everything about his set-up conspires to that common tone.
