Question for my fellow #chicken owners: my wife and I are completely new to this. We bought what were supposed to be 4 hens a couple weeks ago, but we're pretty sure this one is a rooster based off of how it's developing.
Compared to the other 3, it has a larger, redder comb, red waddles, and no tail feathers. It's also the bossy, aggressive one in the flock.
What do you all think?
Last weekend the #FediverseChicks did a field trip to the, erm, field (well, the place where we grow grapes, oranges, veg etc), which is a couple of km from our house.
They were pretty good at tolerating the drive, and got lots of rewards upon arrival:
Lots of tasty weeds and critters aplenty, plus shade and protection by the orange trees!
Between the cacti are lots of tasty weeds for the #FediverseChicks to enjoy (and to play hide and seek) on this glorious day.
Apologies for slow updates on the #FediverseChicks - they've been busy representing at the local pre-school.
They took it like true champs and were super calm, together with their mum, but as a compensation for their hassle they did get some quality time in the vegetable field (under strict supervision).

We are proud one-week-old Spanish chicks and have neither been to Poland nor Toronto. 🐤
We're not really that big into medicine, but we're hoping to get into AxWax's vegetable field someday!
Quick update on the chicks:
There are now 5 of them, and they just had their first lettuce (as a little treat in addition to their regular feed).

After many years we've just had the first chicks - born yesterday 🐣 and out and about for the first time today! 🐤
