This is a view of the snowy Cuillin range here on Skye. Although over 20 miles away from us they are a powerful presence. There are 12 Munros in there.
Munros in Scotland are mountains 3,000 ft (914.4m) or over.

#OTD in 1960, four Black university students sat down at a lunch counter in a segregated F. W. Woolworth Company store and refused to leave until they were served. They were denied service, but they came back every day for weeks with more and more people, eventually forcing desegregation in the service industry and leading to the formation of the SNCC.

In the #UK in particular the House of Commons had passed a bill which would infringe upon our #RightToStrike.
While legally today I'm on strike because of our ongoing pay dispute (fighting real terms paycuts), I'm very glad that our strike day is scheduled to coincide with the #Feb1 strikes across a variety of sectors as we stand together to remind everyone how important this right is.
