Milano, 19 mar. - (Adnkronos) - “Dall'indagine presentata oggi abbiamo visto che la presenza femminile, anche nella comunicazione, è stata molto importante e pari, se non in alcuni casi anche superiore, alla presenza maschile”. E' quanto affermato da Attilio Fontana, presidente di Regione Lombardia, intervenendo alla presentazione da parte di Fondazione Bracco e Comitato Olimpico Internazionale, in collaborazione con Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, dei risultati della ricerca “Parità di genere e rappresentazione nei media: da Parigi 2024 a Milano Cortina 2026” realizzata dall'Osservatorio di Pavia.
“Questa è un'ottima notizia anche perché le donne in queste Olimpiadi si sono distinte sia per i risultati sia per le storie che hanno saputo raccontare: Francesca Lollobrigida, ad esempio, che fra una medaglia d'oro e l'altra ha avuto un bambino - spiega Fontana - o la storia di Federica Brignone, che fino a sei mesi fa aveva le stampelle e che con un grande sacrificio è riuscita a vincere addirittura due medaglie d'oro. Pertanto, penso che la presenza femminile nello sport sia sempre più importante, presente e più riconosciuta dai nostri cittadini”.
Il presidente Fontana, poi, racconta che avrebbe voluto vedere una maggior copertura mediatica per le Paralimpiadi: “Speravo ci fosse una maggior copertura, anche perché oggettivamente le Paralimpiadi sono importanti come le Olimpiadi o forse anche di più. Pertanto, è necessario lavorare in futuro, come si è lavorato per raggiungere la parità tra presenza femminile e maschile, per fare in modo che anche le Paralimpiadi possano avere la stessa presenza delle Olimpiadi”, conclude.

Milan, March 19 – (Adnkronos) – “From the investigation presented today we have seen that the presence of women, even in communication, was very important and equal, if not in some cases even superior, to the presence of men.” This was stated by Attilio Fontana, President of the Lombardy Region, speaking at the presentation by the Bracco Foundation and the International Olympic Committee, in collaboration with the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, of the results of the research “Gender Equality and Representation in the Media: From Paris 2024 to Milano Cortina 2026” carried out by the Observatory of Pavia.
“This is also great news because the women at these Olympics distinguished themselves both for their results and for the stories they were able to tell: for example, Francesca Lollobrigida, who had a child between one gold medal and another – Fontana explains – or the story of Federica Brignone, who six months ago was using crutches and who, with great sacrifice, was able to win even two gold medals. Therefore, I believe that the presence of women in sport is increasingly important, present and more recognized by our citizens.”
The President Fontana then recounts that he wanted to see greater media coverage for the Paralympics: “I hoped there would be greater coverage, even because objectively the Paralympics are as important as the Olympics or perhaps even more so. Therefore, it is necessary to work in the future, as has been done to achieve equality between the presence of men and women, to ensure that the Paralympics can also have the same presence as the Olympics,” he concludes.
