Roma, 28 mag. (Adnkronos) - "La libertà di manifestare il proprio pensiero è uno dei diritti fondamentali nelle moderne democrazie. È fondamentale essere consapevoli che il confronto, soprattutto con opinioni diverse, rappresenta un'opportunità di crescita e di arricchimento". Lo ha affermato il presidente della Camera Lorenzo Fontana in un messaggio inviato al convegno "Il Grande Bavaglio", promosso da Pro Vita e Famiglia alla Camera dei deputati.
Nel messaggio, letto nel corso dell'iniziativa, Fontana ha sottolineato come "le istituzioni abbiano il compito di garantire adeguati spazi di libertà che consentano a ogni individuo di esprimere il proprio pensiero senza condizionamenti", auspicando che il convegno "possa offrire spunti utili e contribuire in modo costruttivo al dibattito pubblico". Il presidente della Camera ha inoltre richiamato la necessità di riflettere sui limiti posti dall'ordinamento alla libertà di espressione, anche alla luce "dei continui mutamenti che avvengono a livello sociale", evidenziando come le società pluraliste si fondino "sulla molteplicità delle idee e delle convinzioni distinte".
