The #CollegeBoard, a powerful nonprofit, has been waging war w/ the administration of Gov Ron #DeSantis, a #Republican, since earlier this year when his admin rejected the College Board’s new #AfricanAmericanStudies course. The #curriculum included topics such as “#QueerStudies,” #reparations & the #BlackLivesMatter movement, & the admin objected, citing a #FloridaLaw limiting how #racism & other aspects of #history are taught in #PublicSchool.
Under an expanded #Florida rule, instruction on #GenderIdentity & #SexualOrientation is now restricted in most cases through 12th grade. The #FloridaDepartmentOfEducation had asked the #CollegeBoard & other providers of advanced, college-level courses to search their offerings for potential violations.
But the College Board said that it would not modify its content, & that any course that did not address gender & sexual orientation should not be labeled “#AdvancedPlacement.”

“To be clear, any A.P. Psychology course taught in Florida will violate either #FloridaLaw or #CollegeRequirements,” the College Board said.

Florida Dept. of Education bans bringing or consuming any bread other than Wonder Bread on school cafeterias and university campuses. “If it’s not Wonder Bread, it’s Satan’s bread,” a spokesperson explained. Violators will be toasted at the stake together with their sandwiches.
