Ich hatte ja berichtet, dass in #Florida der Kurs #APPsychology an dem jedes Jahr Zehntausende High school students teilnehmen gecancelt wurde, weil Unterricht über sexuelle Orientierung und Geschlechtsidentität nicht unterrichtet werden darf.

Zeitweise wurde von der Regierung behauptet, es wäre doch möglich AP Psychology komplett zu unterrichten. Aber es wurde nicht genau berichtet, was das genau bedeutet

The #CollegeBoard, a powerful nonprofit, has been waging war w/ the administration of Gov Ron #DeSantis, a #Republican, since earlier this year when his admin rejected the College Board’s new #AfricanAmericanStudies course. The #curriculum included topics such as “#QueerStudies,” #reparations & the #BlackLivesMatter movement, & the admin objected, citing a #FloridaLaw limiting how #racism & other aspects of #history are taught in #PublicSchool.

In den USA gibt es ein College- Einführungskursprogramm ausgerichtet auf Highschool-Schüler*innen. Beliebt ist dabei #APPsychology. Im letzten Jahr belegten in #Florida 27000 von ihnen diesen Kurs.

Dieses Jahr ist das nicht mehr möglich. Da zum Kurs auch das Thema Geschlechtsidentität und sexuelle Orientierung gehört darf dieser aufgrund der Politik von #DeSantis nicht mehr stattfinden.
