UN Member States have voted to endorse Ghana’s Resolution to recognize Slavery as the gravest crime against humanity and the demand for reparation.
In favor: 123
Against: 3
Abstention: 53
US voted against, Israel voted against, EU abstained.

President Mahama stressed the importance of this resolution in the fight for reparations paid by the countries who profited from slavery.
