I see a lot of change in Germany.
After experimenting with cheap public transport last year (a monthly ticket for ALL local transport in Germany was only €9 for 3 months, yes, subsidized) we now have the DE-ticket, which covers ALL local traffic for €49 in subscriptions.
Many people are using it to shift from cars to buses or trains.
My town has started using E-buses and has shifted the local small ferries to E-Boats (and the fare is included in the DE-Ticket).
