GrapheneOS ist bestimmt super, aber nicht die Antwort auf Deine Frage.
Wir haben hier mittlerweile 6 verschiedene #fairphone mit #murena #eos in Betrieb, alle laufen reibungslos mit div. Bankingapps, der #wero -app , und in der app #shelter sogar (momentan noch) giftige Apps mit Googleanmeldung.
Vielfach Daumen hoch für diese Kombination!

Subsequently I'm considering whether it'll be possible to swap to an open source platform that doesn't come with an innate ability for someone else to switch it into #surveillance mode or if I'm going to have to abandon #smartphones altogether

Usually, when you have a #degoogled #Android #smartphone it means you can’t buy the premium versions of your apps. If you try, you get an error message about the missing Play Service. Every now and then an app might even crash.
Yesterday, when I accidentally tried to use a premium feature of a #freemium app, I got the invite to subscribe and the usual error message. I selected cancel – and suddenly I was a ‘gold member’ for free. #oops 😅

En dan staat #Mastodon er nog niet eens tussen, #x niet gedelete (ik was 1 van de 1e twitteraars in de jaren nul) - nog ergens zo'n idee om de contacten naar Mastodon te importeren - nog niet gelukt.
