@HeatherInNZ @simplicitarian I really enjoyed #EmergencyWeather by
@timjonesbooks which for me anyway has the added advantage of including Wellington and the Hutt Valley as places I'm familiar with. A relatable book without being as scary as KSR's #books

I also love Becky Chambers #SFF #cozySF books but they're a bit further away from my reality.

@thomasbeagle @FrancescaJ #ClimateEmergency maybe unavoidable and fatal for humanity as we know it. I'm sad and a bit angry.

I'm familiar with dystopian ideas from a lifelong love of #SFF science fiction and fantasy, and recently #CliFi.

My partner's a climate activist trying to get change for the sake of humanity, including our child. I support this but am less active.

I recommend #EmergencyWeather by @timjonesbooks for a hopeful NZ #CliFi #book. Ask your local library if they have it
