Ich habe gegenüber #Petitionen eher Skepsis. Diese #Initiative möchte ich aber unbedingt teilen, da sie mir sehr wichtig ist, auch wenn sie bloß symbolisch ist.

Es geht um die #EUInitiative für einen #Pass mit #EU-(Außen-) Design, als gültige Alternative zu Nationaldesigns.

Wenn ihr solche Symbolik wichtig findet, überlegt doch vllt. zu unterzeichnen (momentan sieht es noch sehr traurig aus).

"Stop Killing Games" hat heute die 1 Million Unterschriften überschritten.

Es ist damit nach der Konversionstherapien-Stopp- (Mai), und der Sichere-Abtreibungs- (April) die dritte Europäische Bürgerinitiative dieses Jahr, die die Unterschriftenhürde schafft.

In den letzten Jahren haben das nur die Anti-Pelz- (2023) und Anti-Tierversuch- (2022) -Initiativen geschafft.

Interessante Entwicklung.

Auch bei der Beratung dieser #EU-Initiative wird Deutschland höchstwahrscheinlich keine vorwärtstreibende Rolle spielen.

What disappoints me with Slacktivism --- changeORG, innit or similar petitions get a ton of signatures fast - but OFFICIAL petitions politicans MUST read, like #EUinitiative tend to fail --- e.g. #TaxTheRich failed, since only 357k signed it, the ban of #FossilFuelAds failed with 280k, the No Profit-orientated Medicine failed with 260k - And the #BanConversionTherapy still needs more than 25% to be recognized: https://eci.ec.europa.eu/043/public/#/screen/home - so don't let this fail too.

The formal proposal that would have imposed EU to discuss the initiative is about to be abandoned, having obtained only ~1/3 of the necessary votes across Europe, while only some days are left now.
The complicated voting system result at this moment, at this time, is quite original (see the figure) as we discover both German and French people did strongly support (countries in black) while some neigbors generally considered poorer didn’t reach this level -maybe due to unsufficient awareness?
If you are (very) optimistic you still can go and add your vote (try recruiting followers outside France and Germany!) but really we literally have only days left now…
(even if probably useless, doing this is really interesting to learn the way it works -and there are many other proposed initiatives ongoing that may please you too)
