#SinnFein really messed up with their strategy to run so many candidates. It’s completely backfired on them with split votes.

I also think their recent views on immigration hasn’t helped them. Courting far right views isn’t going to work if you’re trying to promote yourselves as a progressive left party.

30% turn out of those on the register to vote is low. Also I wonder how many people who are eligible to vote are not in the register.
