The fedsun saucership wants to beam up mechs to invade one of the other planets on the space mapsheet but they cant lower shields to do so because the cappy ship is trying to brighten their day with atomic rockets

Spontaneously decided to give #MechCommander (MC1) a whirl after having not played it since I was a kid (had to play with all the cheats back then lol), and have enjoyed it more than I thought I would! The menus are still stuck at low res just like #MechWarrior4 which sucks, but at least there are patches to make the "in-game" res a little more tolerable.
