As some may know, I'm a semi-avid typewriter collector. Now, due to somewhat related circumstances beyond anyone's control, @ckvi basically forced my hand and convinced me to get an old dot matrix printer - Epson LX-800, late-1980s - and a corresponding early-2000s HP laptop with a parallel printer port.

So here's a time-lapse of printing the GameFAQs guideline for Breath of Fire III. I love the sound of a soprano office buzzsaw!

On the whole i find the Epson design more pleasant and a little more consistent, but occasionally the other design wins. For example, the /asterisk and the /K.

This model dates back to 1977 and supports only the more modern RS-232 standard with a maximum speed of 9600 bit/s.
