A much more relaxed day, night today as we wind down. A 1.6 km walk at 9:30 pm to the park. CDMX is lovely and walkable + lots of motivation to walk.
The always fresh hot churros at El Moro are so good! 10/10

Back now at our rental apt in CDMX, while it's hot outside, attacking our haul of pastries (Kid1 got to pick out) - set us back a grand total of 108 pesos (US$6.23)
Three days since our last #Tacos ๐ฑ
Ending that dry spell with Sunday morning barbacoa tacos from specialist I was alerted to at dinner last night. They set up Sundays only. I got there just before 11am (gets super crowded past Noon) and fortunate it's less than 2 blocks away from our rental. Very very good barbacoa - I only got the regular/soft/suaves not the deep-fried/dorados, and opted for salsa rojo (+ a bit of the pasilla).

Excellent churros - made after we ordered - fresh hot, cut with scissors and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. Kid1 got a chocolate (seasonal mango was out) milkshake and partner and I shared a Mexican hot chocolate (with whipped cream topping)
Oh ๐ญ I'm not going to be able to have churros much elsewhere after this am I ?

Taco spot #3 of trip for dinner tonight. Decided to walk 15 mins or so to it rather than a restaurant as we had a late lunch post Teotihuacan trip.
Los Rogacianos de la Roma turned out to be a street stand next to a big tree. Some terrific suadero tacos and al pastor was delicious - campechano as well. ๐ฅ Salsas! Kid2 enjoyed her suadero torta - and we took one back for Kid1 (and that did get her to feel better). Ah eating in the streetlamp light!
More fruit for our short apartment stay. And some baked goodies for breakfast (or immediate snack... why not)
Nice thing about a short rental apartment rather than a hotel room is you get a small kitchen. (We did bring basic knives.)
Fruit for breakfast! Mamey and mango and sapote picked up from the market (see ๐๐ฝ) yesterday. Going to eat all the tropical fruit we miss. (Mamey is not something I've eaten much of - don't have that in India)
2/2 Don Frank
We. got. all. the. ๐ฎ (Or almost - we'll be back)
Too full but when our charming friendly waiter showed and extolled the desserts we got 2 - the cajeta and the strawberry with cream - and oh the actual was so much bigger.
Outstanding dinner!
