but later that evening, i was saving grasshoppers from the pool, when people called out to me, pointing at the other end of the pool. it was a baby #bird, near drowned

i saved it, wrapped it in a towel, gently blowdried it, & harbored it in my room for the nght

morning, it was flying around my room trying to escape😅

i took it outside to release it, & after several attempts, it flew up into the tree where its nest is

the photo is real size on a phone, about 3 in. not sure the species of #dove

Früher war ich auch der Meinung, dass Tauben die Ratten der Lüfte sind. Doch Tauben sind keine ungewollten Kulturfolger wie Ratten, sondern wurden von Menschen genutzt, bis sie von Emails abgelöst wurden ;-) Tauben sind verstossene Randständige in unseren Städten. ❤️ for Dove!

Eine Türkentaube, hatte ich noch nie im Garten. 😍

Leider ist sie weg geflogen als ich versucht habe näher ran zu kommen um ein Foto ohne Ast vor der Taube zu machen.
