Наскальное искусство в Abourma(Djibouti).
Множество петроглифов возрастом 5 тыс лет на участке длиной 3 км.
Добраться туда это целое приключение - часа 4-5 от столицы по неплохой дороге и еще 3-4 часа по грунтовке с множеством колдобин. Поэтому пришлось разбить поездку на два дня и ночевать в Day Forest National Park в спартанских условиях (но электричество они мне обеспечили, так что даже поработал немного).

L’ esempio più immediato è rappresentato da Gibuti. In un momento in cui i traffici marittimi risultano condizionati dalla chiusura di fatto dello Stretto di Hormuz, Gibuti occupa la posizione nevralgica di sponda africana dello Stretto di Bab El Mandeb, da cui transita circa il 12% del commercio mondiale, volume però molto ridimensionato negli ultimi anni a causa dei bombardamenti sul Mar Rosso degli Houthi filo-iraniani dallo Yemen
The protagonists of the conflict in Iran have interests in Africa, and they can make things happen.
The most immediate example is provided by Djibouti. At a time when maritime traffic is conditioned by the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz, Djibouti occupies the key position on the African side of the Bab El Mandeb Strait, through which approximately 12% of world trade transits – a volume however significantly reduced in recent years due to the Houthi-Iranian bombings in the Red Sea from Yemen.

Even an Ethiopian naval base, envisioned by the 2024 MoU, was risking civil #war and triggered hostility from not only #Somalia, but #Djibouti and other Red Sea coastal states.
#Israel is currently and since October 2023 engaged in a high intensity and ever escalating proxy war with #Iran, including the #Houthis in nearby #Yemen. The current #US Irael strikes in Iran seem to have triggered an unrestrained response from them and their proxies in #Lebanon and #Iraq.
