Watched a video with D100 Dungeon gameplay, and it seems like I was making things much harder on myself.

First, I wasn't using my class ability *at all*. That meant my damage output could have been higher more consistently.

On top of that, I totally missed a rule that when killing an enemy with the "pack" trait meant any overflow damage rolls over onto the next one, and so forth. Which could have saved me a LOT of trouble.

Getting some dungeoning done.

Rough trip though, barely came out of the dungeon with 1HP, and most of my armour and my weapon almost broken. Nasty for a tutorial level.

It amuses me that whenever I play #D100Dungeon I immediately start describing everything I'm doing as if I were streaming it.

"What's rat #1 going to do (rolls) nothing, but rat #2 and 3 are attacking. I attack...(rolls) and miss by a mile..." and so forth

It feels so good to be rolling dice again.

I haven't played an actual #ttrpg since about 2003, and I've been procrastinating actually starting a solo game despite being interested in them for a while. So the ease of jumping into #D100Dungeon is really nice, although apparently the PDF I got is a much older version than the currently published one that has improvements.

It's fun though, even though there's really no "role playing" involved. It's more like an oldschool Roguelike.

Trying out D100 Dungeon for the first time. Just the basic rulebook for now, until I get a good feel for it and see if I like it.

There's a lot of stuff in here I've never encountered before. It's pretty cool.

All ready for my first solo rpg experience, wish me luck and good rolls!

I've taken an interest in #SoloRPG dungeon crawling games lately. #NoteQuest is nice, but combat is a bit simplistic in my view. Looking at #FourAgainstDarkness now which looks promising. The fact that you have four chars and not just one allows for more depth. I also backed the #2d6Dungeon Kickstarter which has another week to go - it seems to have the best combat system. #D100dungeon also looks great and has a supplement for #HexCrawling, which also interests me.

I saw a post about print and play #boardgames. I usually don't go for them due to needing to like make cards and shit.

But it mentioned #d100Dungeon, which is just a rulebook/character sheet/etc, then you bring your own dice and graph paper.

I bought it and started in today. Seems pretty fun so far. But seems to mostly play itself without many real decisions for me to make. I'm willing to stick it out another session or two to see if that changes.

Maybe check it out?
