A #brushRabbit, I think, for #WildlifeWednesday. Spotted this little fluffball while walking from the car to the entrance of the Twin Falls trailhead. It looks so different from the rabbits we have in Europe! 🥹

Eastern Cottontail (Sylvilagus floridanus). Cottontails are solitary animals except during breeding season. Most often seen at dawn or dusk. Sometimes they will stand on their hind legs to look for predators.

In my garden, they are mostly fearless and my blind, elderly dog walks right by them without knowing they are there.
