Listening to Uncle Noel Pearson on #ABCRN this morning was absolutely inspirational. Erudite, compassionate, and a visionary. His metaphor of the #LiberalParty position on #ConstitutionalRecognition of indigenous Australians as a judas betrayal during passover is both brilliant and powerfully damning. I believe he's right and the referendum will pass, with those in the LNP and ONP proven woefully out of touch.

Lack of detail? #referendum23 about principle #constitutionalrecognition & #voicetoparliament. If YES by double majority (>50% country + >50% each state) then Parliament establish and vote details. NO campaign asks detail now to roadblock process
Other countries followed similar processes (e.g. wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanfan_Treaty and wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Waitangi). We are not alone but we are behind the ball when comparing what other countries with large Indigenous populations have already done #UNDRIP

Process to create #ulurustatement very thorough: 250 groups at meetings, each represented areas across the country, each area had minimum 60% traditional owners in its ranks. The statement had input from very large % of First Nation Australians
#ulurustatement offer from 1st Nation Australians to non-Indigenous Australians to address issues that divided us more than 200yrs. Non-Indigenous ways tried already, progress made but issues still there. It’s time 2 let 1st Nation Australians lead
#ulurustatement calls for VOICE+TREATY+TRUTH as path to solution. #constitutionalrecognition & #voicetoparliament NOT political strategy by ALP/LNP/Greens... It's what 1st Nation Australians offered non-Indigenous Australians as per the statement

What a pathetic excuse for a leader #Spud is. We know #Nats are a lost cause but why does #Dutton act like the minor party in the coalition?
It can only be that he has no interest in ending #racism, #bigotry or #discrimination - doesn’t actually have the capacity or vision to act like a leader.

Australians have shown an ability to see through lies, deceit and bullshit in recent state and federal elections. Have faith that it will continue in the referendum.
