🌎💡These findings don’t just apply to plants on Amazonian cangas. They could improve conservation strategies for other organisms with similar life histories, worldwide. (10/10)

Reflecting on 2022 & sharing my science highlights. In a difficult year I was really happy to see these papers published:

Bringing together approaches to reporting on within species genetic diversity
https://besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/1365-2664.14225

Global genetic diversity status and trends: towards a suite of Essential Biodiversity Variables (EBVs) for genetic composition

After a more thorough investigation: I used a Twitter List to follow my academic/science friends in #ConservationGenetics and it actually works like Mastodon feed! No "recommendations" from people I follow or anything like that. What people like does not show. Just retweets and original tweets!

The home feed is trashy as usual because it prioritise showing highly-engaged topics I do not wish to engage.
