DaveI've been thinking a lot about link previews in #Mastodon. I noticed my router has blocked many malicious URLs when viewing a federated timeline on one of the big instances. It makes me think there is a growth opportunity, maybe for something like #Akismet or a new service that isn't #bigtech, to open up to the apps that want to show previews so we can potentially keep the clean URLs alive. There are many bad actors out there just waiting to exploit us. #commutethoughts
