ich bin ja auch ein absoluter Fan von Tukanen (und den kleineren Verwandten, den Arassaris). Hier ein Tukan aus den höheren LAgen der Anden. Diesen Blautukan durfte ich auf über 3000m Höhe beobachten und fotografieren.

I am also an absolute fan of toucans (and their smaller relatives, the toucanets). Here is a toucan from the higher altitudes of the Andes. I was able to observe and photograph this Grey-breasted Mountain toucan
at an altitude of over 3000 metres.

Das war ein toller Tag im November im Tinamú Birding Nature Reserve. Wir hatten unglaublich tolle Vögel sehen können. Eines der Highlights war dieser Goldbandpipra (Golden-collared Manakin).
In Costa Rica hatten wir schon ein schönes Bild vom Gelbhosenpipra (Red-capped Manakin) machen können.
Insgesamt gibt es 55 Arten im tropischen Amerika. Alle leben sie in Wäldern und sind echt schwer zu finden. Also noch genug zu tun für uns.

It was a great day in November at Tinamú Birding Nature Reserve. We were able to see some incredible birds. One of the highlights was this Golden-collared Manakin.

In Costa Rica we had already been able to take a nice picture of the Red-capped Manakin.
There are a total of 55 species in tropical America. They all live in forests and are really hard to find. So there's still plenty for us to do.
